The First Edition of #LifeHack Academy is Behind Us!
What a year it has been! We have just wrapped up the pilot edition of the #LifeHack Academy workshops, organized by our Foundation. The final meeting took place at the headquarters of VECTOR. Participants had the chance to tour our offices, put on specialist lab coats to walk through the production halls, and see firsthand how the warehouse operates.
What is #LifeHack Academy?
#LifeHack Academy is our initiative born from the need to provide real support to young people aged 16–20. We wanted to address their concerns and worries about transitioning into adulthood. The workshops, led by employees of the VECTOR Group, covered a wide range of topics designed to help participants navigate everyday life.
What topics did we cover?
Our sessions included:
- Writing a CV
- Job searching
- Job interviews
- Types of employment contracts
- Managing a household budget
- Banking in everyday life
- Finding an apartment
- Renovating and furnishing a flat
Our goal was to equip young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to live independently as adults. That’s why we taught budgeting, introduced them to the basics of the real estate and job markets, and shared practical tips that they could immediately apply in real life – which, as we all know, isn’t always easy.
The Graduation Event
The final meeting was truly special! We invited the participants to our headquarters, where they had the chance to see what work at VECTOR Group looks like. Together, we organized a barbecue, games, and a summary of the year-long workshops. At the end, we presented certificates of completion and the ultimate must-have for every #LifeHack’er – a handy collection of all our #LifeHacks!
Real Benefits for Our Participants
What makes us the happiest? The fact that the #LifeHack Academy workshops delivered real, measurable results! Participants shared that the knowledge they gained helped them better manage their budgets, and one participant even landed a job thanks to her newly improved CV!
That kind of feedback is the greatest reward for us – to see that our initiative brings real benefits and helps change young people’s lives for the better.
