BE ABLE TO HELP is a VECTOR GROUP initiative, proving that each of us can help. All of our activities focus on supporting our local community in the Tricity, as well as on the promotion of good practices while considering the environment.

Since 2018, along with our employees, we have been supporting children from Care and Education Centres in Gdynia. How? Quite often such places have problems with budgeting for renovations or furnishings. Thanks to our talks with the caretakers and the Director of the Centre, we have prepared a list of the most needed items of furniture as well as the locations that need refurbishing.

And then… the magic happens. Employees from all the VECTOR companies are pleased to help with the initiative by assembling wardrobes, chests of drawers, bookshelves or even beds. Away from our desks and armed with all the necessary tools, in no time we can furnish a dream home for the children. So far, together with our colleagues, we have managed to put smiles on the faces of 26 children from two Care and Education Centres in Gdynia. What is especially important for children is having a friendly and safe space to work, develop and relax.

On behalf of all the inhabitants of Care and Education Centre No. 3 in Gdynia – THANK YOU!

Apart from the social aspect, we begin to follow the road to sustainable development with more courage. However, every long journey begins with baby steps. The first is made to positively influence and promote environmentally friendly behaviour. This year we would like you to join us in our efforts to protect birds by feeding them during periods of frost and heavy snowfall. What should we consider while preparing a meal for our feathered friends? Check out our article, where you can find some important clues.

2020 – solidarity in the pandemic

The year 2020 has brought us events and challenges that could not be predicted. The whole world has been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic since March. Protecting our own health and that of the people close to us has become a priority. Health care facilities and their personnel, who are often overworked and need to deal with equipment shortages, are in the front line of the battle against the coronavirus.

This is why we decided to help Szpitale Pomorskie (Pomeranian Hospitals that run four institutions in the region) and support them financially, so they can invest in new medical equipment to fight the coronavirus. Twelve infusion pumps and a specialist anaesthesia cart were purchased. Thanks to this, doctors, nurses and paramedics can better help patients.

We are happy that the provided equipment helps to fight the results of the pandemic and will serve patients in the future. You can find more information about this year’s initiative within BATH in our article.
