BE ABLE TO HELP is an initiative of the VECTOR GROUP showing that each of us can help. All of our activities are focused on this slogan and are aimed at helping and supporting the local community in Tricity – a place where VECTOR was founded 30 years ago.
With Christmas approaching, this is the perfect time to think about the needs of others. While working on the December campaign, we had the opportunity to meet 12 children from the Educational Child Care Centre No. 2 in Gdynia. Just after moving to a new place, they faced the big challenge of completing the equipment lacking in their new home. We decided to help them. Conversation with the counsellors of the institution resulted in a list of the most needed furniture and accessories, which we committed to buy for the facility as part of the BE ABLE TO HELP campaign.
Employees from all companies of the VECTOR GROUP became involved in the initiative, thanks to which in just two days we managed to arrange new children’s rooms. The culmination of the joint project was art workshops in which young artists presented their creative visions of the future use of the Internet.
The funds, which in previous years financed the purchase of Christmas gifts for our business partners, enabled us this year to fulfil the dreams of children from the Educational Child Care Centre in Gdynia. Being surrounded by a friendly and safe space in a new place is especially important for them.
